Wrappin It Up

Hermanos y Hermanas, another great week hits the books over here. I'm gonna need the time to slow down over here. The week though… Vaca Disaster Just a little funny story for you. The other day Elder Woodward and I were sitting out in front of this house having a lesson with an old lady. Out of nowhere, we heard a bunch of barking dogs and then all of a sudden this cow ran through the front yard, absolutely steaming through this poor lady's garden, being chased by every dog in the neighborhood. No joke, there were like 20 dogs chasing that thing. After the cow absolutely leveled this poor lady's garden, she was yelling in GuaranĂ (the native language) and it was wild. At the same time, it was kinda funny if I'm being so real. Luckily plants grow back, but let this be a public reminder to everyone, including you people back in the States, to remember to LOCK YOUR COWS UP, FOLKS. ZONE CONFERENCE Zone conference was this last week in Ciudad del Este and it was spiritually ...

Fam, friends, super chill week here and we all know the drill at this point so let's get to it. Divisiones Ran a little double division with my guy Elder Gundersen. We had a day in our area, and then we had a day in his. Both days we went crazy, absolutely slamming both areas with the Spirit and unrefusable baptismal invites. There's a member there named Marcos, and he's a recent convert. He came around and did all our lessons with us. He's an animal, with an absolute weapon of testimony. It was a pleasure working with him. Also, almost all the people in Caaguazu we were teaching only spoke GuaranĂ, which was quite the humbling experience. Luckily, Marcos was there to translate too. We finished the day off with some crazy acai and called it a night. What a life. FAM With it being Father's Day and all, I got to call my Dad. He was with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the whole gang. So I got to chop it up with the whole fam and wish my sweet cousin Kara off ...

Fam and friends, what a week, let's not drop a second, let's get to it. HITCHED 2.0 Ruben and Miriam were both baptized and married on Friday. Had me so stoked, I love them. I remember showing up at their house weeks ago and how they were then versus Saturday when they were married and baptized. It's like two different people. Crazy what changes the gospel can make when we begin to apply it. Everything happened perfectly with the wedding as well, even though it was super crazy to get it all planned and to actually make it happen. I'm for real a wedding planner these days out here planning all these weddings. I know people who make big money doing this and I'm down here doing it for free money-wise (my commission is eternal blessings from the Big Man). But wow, what a night, spirits high, everybody boogying down. Gotta love Paraguay, man. FINDS Finally got myself a guitar and it's been so nice. It's unreal having one again. Planning to do a little number in Z...

Legacy Transfer

Fam y friends, estoy de vuelta to let you know what's been going down. So sorry to have left you hanging last week, but the truth is, as I become a better missionary and get deeper into the mission, the more socially awkward I become, and it gets harder for me to write such good emails, so bear with me here. Hahahahah, I'm playin… maybe… Let's get straight into how Oviedo & EP have been moving as of recent. ZONA 8 We had transfers a couple of weeks ago, so a bunch of the zone changed. Had to say goodbye to many legends and intense competitive P-Day soccer. This also included my dear companion Elder Radcliffe. I'm gonna miss that kid; we did good work together here in the Big O. This past week, the branch president pulled us into his office to thank us for our work. We said we had turned the joint around, boosted attendance, and boosted the energy of the ward. It was just great. Now I probably got one more transfer in this area. That's got me out here feelin'...
