Fire Me Up

Fam and friends, I hope your week was blessed. Lot going on over here right now, so I'll try to whip up a little recap and tell you what's going down. Shakira has fallen. Last Saturday, I was playing soccer and I did that thing Ronaldo did where he jumped like 5 feet off the ground for a header, and I kinda did a backflip on the way down. I don't know, for just a second, I might have become Ronaldo himself. Unfortunately, there were no cameras rolling. Jk jk, I just twisted my ankle. Luckily, it's not super bad, but I was limping around for a day or 2, but I'm cool now. Pray that Shakira will take the field again. Prank Just a little funny story for you guys. There's an elder in my district that the teachers always confuse us with each other. Anyway, we swapped tags and our teacher didn't notice for like 20 whole minutes. We had the whole district in on it, and when she did notice, we nearly succeeded in gaslighting her that I had been Elder Weeks and Elder ...

My loved ones in the promised land, hope you all had a great week. Pretty light read today for you guys so let's get into it. Cosas divertidas Cathe has officially spread to the continent of South America. We’re international now baby. We will now be changing the name of the company to Cathe worldwide. I gave a Cathe shirt to this missionary from Bolivia in a trade for a soccer jersey. So big day for Cathe. This week we also had a 5.5 earthquake here in Lima, it was loco. It was during study time and the whole room started shaking. The sisters were freaking out. We had to evacuate and all that stuff. It was so fun, good times. I have also tapped so deep into my spiritual bag I have now learned to levitate (reference Google Photos). New cut who dis I decided to shake it up and I have a lil buzz cut now and I'm loving it. It's not my best look so it's a good thing I'm not looking for an eternal companion right now because I might have a hard time finding one. Hahah ju...

What's happening, fam and friends? Let an elder know what's going on with you through email. Another beautiful week here in Lima, Perú. Grateful to be here, so let's get into it. Grub & various infirmities The meals here aren't super bad. However, sadly, breakfast is always deeply disappointing. Every morning is a miss here. They need some American insight on breakfast in that kitchen. We also had a couple more fallen soldiers in the district this week from the food and heat. Shout out to those guys who battle it out in the baño, keep fighting, gentlemen. Also, one of the sisters was passing out this week, and that was nuts. One morning at breakfast, she hit the deck at the table and was out of it for a sec. We were not sure if she was crying because the cafeteria had sold yet another breakfast, and she couldn't do it anymore. We all kind of looked at each other not knowing what to do. Anyway, she's alive now, so we're coolin'. Shakira So we're R...

Fam and friends, it's been another week. There's a lot going on down here in Lima, so I'll try to keep it brief for you folks who don't want a heavy read. New Elders This week, a whole new batch of guys showed up. Because the locals know Spanish, they only stay here for 2 weeks. This is bittersweet because we get to meet the sickest dudes/elders and then we have to say bye, which is tough. Some of our favorites left last week (RIP E. Abreu, our Dominican BOY), but this week we got STACKED with cool roomies and some other sick guys. I'm now super tight with the roomies and a couple of other guys, and we all chop it up before and after classes on the daily. Because of this, it is helping my Spanish big time. Soccer also goes hard with all these boys. Blood, sweat, and tears go into these games, and some of these kids are absolute soccer wizards; they're dead serious, practicing witchcraft with their feet and with the ball. It's loco. Seasoned Tie Merchant I...
