Big Sef Y Domingoat

Mi gente, deepest apologies for the miss last week, but wipe those tears because we are BACK.

COCIDO INCIDENT

The other day we were at this family's house, playing some cards and whatnot. Their 12-year-old son brought over this pot of PIPING hot cocido (it's a hot drink here) that he had forgotten on the stove. So, I’m in the middle of cooking this family in a game of UNO, and then this kid goes and spills this molten hot liquid all over my leg. Dude. I was going THROUGH IT. But there’s no longer a mark on my leg, so we’re cool now.

SÁBADO / BEST NIGHT EVER

There were a couple of tough days this week. We’ve already gone over this, but the area is in a tough spot, right? Anyway, on Saturday, we had dinner at our friends Sefarino and Dominga’s house (their respective nicknames are Big Sef and Domingoat). They are the greatest. I love them so much. They’re legit my Paraguayan fam. I’m sure the Lord did His thing, and they’re one of the biggest reasons I’m here in this area. Anyway, they had us over for this big dinner with their neighbors. Good food, even better people, laughing the whole time, happy Elder Pickett. What else can a brother ask for? When we were heading home, my companion (who’s a little tough to crack sometimes) said it was the best night he’s had on his whole mission. So we’re stoked, guys.

C TOWN

Slowly but surely, fam. Sefarino and Dominga are set for this weekend, so we’re pumped. But cambios are this week, so we’ll see if C Town still needs Elder P, or if some other dying village in the middle of nowhere needs me more.

ST

Super short, and I always say this, but REMEMBER YOUR POTENTIAL. Sons and Daughters of God, WE HAVE NO LIMIT WITH HIM.

Love you all.
