PING PONG / GUYS' NIGHT This past week, we held a wildly intense, bracket-style ping pong tournament at the church. All of the brothers showed up, and there was some quality ping pong to be had. My companion and I met back up in the semi-finals, and it was a fierce rematch, but your boy came out on top for now. It was so good to get all the guys together, bond a little, and enjoy all that good stuff. The branch nights have been huge for us. REMODEL We're turning this apartment into an absolute crib (Grandma, that means a cool house). Last week, we got our sink fixed, and we got a mirror put in our bathroom. Also, Carapeguá is known for their weaved hammocks and hammock chairs, so we got the landlord to put some hooks in the walls and ceilings, and we’re installing some hammock-style furniture up in here. Mi gente, deepest apologies for the miss last week, but wipe those tears because we are BACK. COCIDO INCIDENT The other day we were at this family's house, playing some cards and whatnot. Their 12-year-old son brought over this pot of PIPING hot cocido (it's a hot drink here) that he had forgotten on the stove. So, I’m in the middle of cooking this family in a game of UNO, and then this kid goes and spills this molten hot liquid all over my leg. Dude. I was going THROUGH IT. But there’s no longer a mark on my leg, so we’re cool now. SÁBADO / BEST NIGHT EVER There were a couple of tough days this week. We’ve already gone over this, but the area is in a tough spot, right? Anyway, on Saturday, we had dinner at our friends Sefarino and Dominga’s house (their respective nicknames are Big Sef and Domingoat). They are the greatest. I love them so much.
