Confía En El Proceso

Brothers and sisters, hoping this email finds you all in a blessed state. Let's jump right into this past week's events.

KING OF CTOWN

Recently, we've been working with our guy Jorge, an older member who recently reactivated himself, and now he's all in. A stud. This week, he walked around with us to teach and visit people, and this dude knows EVERYONE. He was chatting with literally everyone like, “Oh, we used to play soccer back in the day,” or “Oh, he's buddies with my brother.” This guy knows everybody. Every other house we walked by was his cousin's place or something. My companion was like, "How many cousins does this guy have?" The best part is that when we were contacting and visiting people, everyone recognized him and let us in. Jorge is our secret weapon, the king of C-town. Lessons with members are about to get exciting.

OFF THE DOME

This is the third week in a row the branch president has come up to me minutes before church and asked me to give a talk. And all three times, I went up and delivered it straight off the top of my head, and it went smoothly every time. Maybe it's because there are only three people in the audience, so it feels more like a lesson than a talk, but hey, still. All consecutive 45 minutes of my talks have been about getting fired up to work with us. The message is starting to connect, and the Carapeguá branch is feeling a little more motivated, ready to get active.

THE COME UP (with a brief intermission)

This past week, everyone we had progressing or on date fell through. I took it hard, to be real. I'm hungry. I want to see success in this area badly, but it feels like success has been a little slow to come.

ST

This leads me to the spiritual thought. The Book of Mormon is amazing—not like actual magic, but Heavenly spiritual magic. Let me paint the scene: I'm reading in Mosiah 23-25, and Alma and his people are in bondage. Through all that tough stuff, they persevered, and God delivered them. It said that through it all, they had "faith and patience." Faith and patience are a powerful combination. If you're going through a hard time, I suggest trying this combo out.

Love you all.

Faith and patience, baby.
